Russian-born pianist Oksana Poleshook made her orchestral debut (Saint-Saens, Concerto #2) in 1993 with Far Eastern (Dalniy Vostok) Symphony Orchestra. In 1999 she graduated from Glinka State Conservatory in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia). Since her arrival in the US in 2001 she is actively engaged as a collaborator performing nationally and internationally. Her recent performance venues include: Conservatorio Riva del Garda, Italy, St. Martin in the Bull Ring, Birmingham, UK, Minoritensaal, Graz, Austria.
Ms. Poleshook served as a faculty member at Rhodes College (2002-2004) and the University of Memphis since 2008. In 2009 she was featured as a recording artist on the CD “Chamber Wind Music of Jack Cooper” released by Centaur Records.
Robyn Jones is currently assistant professor of clarinet at the Rudi Scheidt School of Music, University of Memphis. Since arriving in Memphis in the fall of 2012, she has performed with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, the Memphis Woodwind Quintet, and the Jackson Symphony Orchestra. She held the position of principal clarinet with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in New Orleans from 2004-2012, during which time she was a featured soloist with Debussy’s Premier Rhapsody. In addition to her position in the LPO, Ms. Jones taught at Tulane University and the University of New Orleans. Prior to assuming her position in New Orleans, she performed with many orchestras, including the Minnesota Orchestra, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.
