TSU’s new Steinway B and 1098s!

Tennessee State University

Takes delivery of their new B and 4 vertical Steinway Pianos!

Wednesday, March 19th could have been December 25th at Tennessee State University. The Steinway Piano Gallery of Nashville crew was greeted with cheers, applause and extreme enthusiasm! On a cold and dreary day it was a day full of bright sunshine inside the Performing Arts Center at TSU.

As pianos were unboxed and a huge mess was made there was a buzz going around the campus that ‘the Steinways are here.’ Students and faculty came from everywhere to see. This day was a long time coming for Dr. Bob Elliott and his faculty, staff, and students. Mr. Bill Metcalfe from Steinway Piano Gallery of Nashville and Dr. Elliott have been working for years to get the students of TSU quality pianos on which to practice and perform. These pianos are not only for the current students, but for generations to come as Steinway pianos will last long after these current students have their grand kids at TSU. As the students waited with anticipation they were debating who would be practicing first and were claiming each piano (and practice room) as their own! Students were looking forward to their recitals so they could play on the new B in the recital hall. Non piano students were equally as excited.

It truly was a great day at TSU for Dr. Elliott and his staff and students. Steinway Piano Gallery of Nashville is excited for TSU and honored to be a partner and a friend to the school. We look forward to working together as this partnership in excellence continues for years to come.
